RESOURCES OF THE MONTH

Right Now Media Video

Description from Right Now Media:
"Join the Evans family as Jonathan leverages the ministry of Jesus to teach life lessons to his five children (ages 3-13) through everyday activities and family adventures.

Seemingly normal activities—such as a fun family cooking competition, camping in the great outdoors, a trip to a theme park, or a hands-on homeschool activity—turn into hysterical adventures and epic teachable moments.

Jonathan and Kanika follow up the day’s events with a bedtime Bible lesson that connects their experience to the teachings of Jesus in a way their children will never forget!

Whenever the kids realize they are about to hear the Stories from the Storyteller, they’ll be begging for bedtime!"

Book

Description from Amazon:
"The problem with lies is they don’t often sound like lies. They seem harmless, and even sound right. So what’s a Mama Bear to do when her kids seem to be absorbing the culture’s lies uncritically?

Mama Bear Apologetics® is the book you’ve been looking for. This mom-to-mom guide will equip you to teach your kids how to form their own biblical beliefs about what is true and what is false. Through transparent life stories and clear, practical applications—including prayer strategies—this band of Mama Bears offers you tools to train yourself, so you can turn around and train your kids.

Are you ready to answer the rallying cry, “Mess with our kids and we will demolish your arguments”?  Join the Mama Bears and raise your voice to protect your kids—by teaching them how to think through and address the issues head-on, yet with gentleness and respect.
"

Podcast

Description from their website:
"Join Focus on the Family's media and culture analysts for lighthearted reviews for parents and conversation about entertainment, pop culture and technology. Through this 30-minute podcast from Focus on the Family, you'll hear practical information from a Biblical worldview to help guide decisions about what to watch, listen and visit. And connect to a ton of related Christian resources and articles."

Vision Team Member Highlight

Emma and Andrew Sheller are our Vision Team Members of the Month!  We want to say a huge "THANK YOU" for serving and for your passion for leaving a legacy in our
Bethel Kids!

How long have you been working with kids?
2 years working on our 3rd year.

Why do you love working with kids?
We have always been drawn to helping, teaching, and encouraging kids and watching them grow. We love getting the opportunity to build them up and help them understand who they are in Christ. Working with kids also gives us the chance to be a kid again in some ways, approaching Scripture and Jesus with that same sense of wonder, curiosity, and childlike faith.

Do you have any interesting facts or words of wisdom to share with the parents and kids?
As expecting parents ourselves, we feel like we need all the words of wisdom we can get! We’re incredibly thankful to all of the Bethel parents for entrusting us with their kids. Getting to spend time with them has been such a blessing and has given us a little glimpse into what it will be like to raise our own child very soon.

Where do you work?  What are your hobbies?
We live in Shippensburg and got married in May of this year. We love spending time with our friends and family, playing trivia, and being involved in our church. We’re also excited to be expecting our first child in April of next year, so we’re enjoying this new season of life and all that we’re learning along the way!
