SCRIPTURE MEMORY

Ephesians 6:13 (NLT)
Put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.

Psalm 86:12 (NLT)
With all my heart I will praise you, O Lord my God. I will give glory to your name forever.

Romans 12:2 (NLT)

RESOURCES OF THE MONTH

Right Now Media Video

Description from Right Now Media:
"Seeds Kids Worship presents the Sing God’s Word Kids Show! This faith-filled show was made for one purpose: To help kids sing and know God’s Word! Each 30-minute episode is full of worship, an engaging devotional, a fun game, and trivia… all centered around knowing God. The worship is led by Kylie Lynch (Worship Girl) with fun hand motions to our patented word-for-word scripture songs. These fun and joyful worship songs help kids of all ages engage in worship. Then our very special guest speaker will share a powerful devotional on the theme verse. Our hope is that kids will learn the Bible, grow in their relationship with Jesus, and live out God’s calling on their life."

Book

Description from Amazon:
"Does your child speak a different language? Sometimes they wager for your attention, and other times they ignore you completely. Sometimes they are filled with gratitude and affection, and other times they seem totally indifferent. Attitude. Behavior. Development. Everything depends on the love relationship between you and your child. When children feel loved, they do their best. But how can you make sure your child feels loved? Since 1992, Dr. Gary Chapman's best-selling book The Five Love Languages has helped more than 300,000 couples develop stronger, more fulfilling relationships by teaching them to speak each others love language. Each child, too, expresses and receives love through one of five different communication styles. And your love language may be totally different from that of your child. While you are doing all you can to show your child love, he may be hearing it as something completely opposite.Discover your child's primary language and learn what you can do to effectively convey unconditional feelings of respect, affection, and commitment that will resonate in your child's emotions and behavior."

Podcast

Description from Spotify:
"If you’re married — or soon to be — you’ve got questions. What makes this relationship work? How do I fix it when it breaks? Where do I go when I need help? Host John Fuller and marriage experts Dr. Greg and Erin Smalley help answer those questions with practical, down-to-earth insights based on God’s design for marriage. Find answers and inspiration in every short episode of this Christian marriage podcast."

Volunteer Highlight

Hope Frey is our Vision Team Member of the Month!  We want to say a huge "THANK YOU" for serving and for your passion for leaving a legacy in our Bethel Kids!

Here is some information about them
to get to know her a bit better:

How long have you been working with kids?
I began working with the  4/5-year-old class in my previous church when I was 13, and have continued to work off and on with young kids, then youth, then young adults, and now back to kids here at Bethel. So...a loooong time!

Why do you love working with kids?
I love working with kids...their innocence, energy, and excitement at the littlest things is so beautiful.  It's so easy to get caught up in their excitement and have an "excuse" to be a little silly right along with them.  You can't help but leave feeling happy to have been a part of their world for a little bit...even if a nap sounds good afterward. And mostly I love that they enjoy learning about Jesus and have such a tender heart towards him! Their faith is like no other! It's no wonder Jesus says in Matthew 18 that we need to become like children to enter His kingdom

Do you have any interesting facts or words of wisdom to share with the parents and kids?
Deuteronomy 6:5-7 has always been at the forefront of my mind as I've raised my kids and now having grandkids.

Children grow up way too quickly, don't allow a day to go by that you're not teaching and influencing your child in knowing who Jesus is, what He's done,  and loving Him above all else.

Where do you work?  What are your hobbies?
I love gardening and flowers, although I'm far from mastering it, but most of all, time spent with family and those sweet "littles"!

We have had many young people and families from around the world stay in our home and currently host missionary's and pastor's families who are traveling to or through our area. I love meeting new people from all over and hearing their Jesus stories!

We've traveled to Moldova a few times to see friends who have become family and this week 2 of them will be visiting our home.

I have learned, and continue to learn, to lean on Jesus for anything and everything because He is faithful and He is good!
