RESOURCES OF THE MONTH

Right Now Media Video

Here is the description from Right Now Media:

"Animated adventures little children love with God-centered lessons parents applaud!

Welcome to Wildwood! Here the folks live just like you and me. They love fun and adventure, enjoy their work and family, and try to learn each day what it means to be like Christ.

With Paws & Tales, kids can enjoy meaningful adventure stories and fun animation while they learn biblically based concepts like being thankful, overcoming fear, putting others first, and obeying God's rules."

Book

Here is the Amazon description:

"In this book, learn why intentional biblical worldview discipleship is so important and the critical role education plays in worldview development. Discover key principles from the Bible and practical steps to help you save your family from destruction. Listening to this book with an open heart and mind will challenge and encourage you to understand that with God’s help and intentional godly parenting, your children can become exactly who God designed them to be. Ensure your children and grandchildren carry forward a heritage of faith.
As Christian parents, we dream about the day our children will become mature, godly adults, and we envision them raising our grandchildren to know, love, and serve Christ. This long-lasting heritage of faith is what we hope and pray for, and it is absolutely possible. However, because of Satan’s aggressive plans to capture the hearts and minds of our children and the lack of intentional discipleship in many Christian homes, far too many parents live with regret and heartbreak over the loss of faith in their children. Over the last fifty years, evangelical parents have watched with deep sadness as millions of church-raised children have abandoned Christianity, but this heartbreaking tragedy doesn’t have to be your reality."

Podcast

Here is the description from the
moodyradio.org website:

""Hygge" (pronounced Hyoo-Guh) is a concept derived from Danish culture dating back generations. It is comprised of several major tenets including hospitality, atmosphere, well-being, and comfort (just to name a few). Independently, Hygge is not a "religious" or "Biblical" concept, but it prompts the question: can Hygge be implemented in a Biblical way? Can a concept like Hygge be set apart, or "made Holy." Author and speaker Jamie Erickson would argue, YES! In this limited series podcast, Jamie and a guest will walk through 7 of the core tenets of Hygge: what they are, how listeners can practically implement them in their homes, and most importantly, how each concept can inform the Christian life."

Volunteer Highlight

Holly Friese is our Bethel Kids Vision Team Member of the Month for November!  Here is some information about Holly so you can get to know her a bit better!

1.  How long have you been working with kids?
I've been working with kids for over 18 years🙃. Yikes that makes me sound old. Lol. Nursery ministry for 8 years youth ministry for over 10 years or 10 years and counting. Pre-k class for as long as we have had it.

2.  Why do you love working with kids?
I love working with kids because I was most impacted during my children church and youth age. I gave my life to Christ at the altar of children's church at Bethel at 4yrs old. I was water baptized at 12 years on entry into youth. The leaders made such a difference in my walk with God at such a critical age and I want to do the same for the generations behind me. I love the honesty and childlike faith of our kids. My favorite thing about serving is hearing our kids pray especially for each other.

3.  Do you have any interesting facts or words of wisdom to share with the parents and kids?
As a mama of 3 littles, I would say embrace the interpretations in life there is beauty in them. Slow down and rid the distractions especially for your children. They need to see us living out our relationship with God. Doing devotionals together and praying together is a great start. It can be as simple as reading the verse of the day together and praying over a meal or over the school/work day. Small actions can speak volumes to our children especially when done consistently (more times then not).

4.  Do you have any other information you would like to share (where you work, hobbies, family info, etc.)?
I'm a nurse at Chambersburg Hospital. I enjoy being outdoors exploring God's creation, reading, crafting, playing with my kids, hiking, biking, kayaking...this list can go on and on lol. Mom of Brooke, 7, Belle 4, and Cruze 1. I have been married for 16 years to my high school sweetheart ❤️.
